We at Rippowam Labs are always searching for the best ways to introduce youngsters to the wonderful world of science and engineering.
Our latest offering is something we’d never thought we’d get involved in – programming with pictures.
But Scratch, the programming language developed by MIT, is the kind of learning tool that simply shouldn’t be ignored. This powerful coding environment introduces kids to programming concepts, like loops and if-else statements. By the time they sit down to learn an “adult” programming language, they’ll have all the concepts mastered.
In this set of courses, students will learn how to build their own video game. They’ll program the whole thing themselves. Then we’ll break out the Raspberry Pi and they write Scratch code that will light up LEDs and set off buzzers, using imput from buttons and sensors.
As always, no experience is necessary for this course! Contact me here for more info!!! Or, click the button below to secure your son or daughter’s space in future tutoring sessions.
