People came from all over Stamford for the Fix-It Night held earlier this week. Some of the items dropped off were a CD player, an espresso machine, a sewing machine and some hair dryers. Thanks to everyone for their participation. All of these require extra parts or more work. We will be in contact with each of you when the items are fixed.

Another successful teen robot class at the Ferguson Library
The mission of our latest set of teen robot classes at the Ferguson Library was to create a robot that could think for itself. We attached distance sensors to our bots and wrote code that told the robot to avoid collisions. Here’s a video of our start pupil’s bot in action. http://youtu.be/kNuS77N7XCI
Stay tuned … more robotics programs are in the planning stages.
In the meantime, Daniel and I will be preparing our bots for an ultimate showdown.
Coding Study Groups Forming Now!!
Check out our upcoming series of Intro-to-Coding classes. We’ll be offering classes in Python, C++, HTML/CSS, WordPress, Android as well as PHP and MySQL, The idea of these classes is to provide a learning opportunity for those who’ve never learned – or those who never learned a particular language. We will be encouraging study groups to form – and they are all welcome to meet at our makerspace.
