Big Tech is tracking and analyzing your every step and every click. Facebook knows when you’re having a bowel movement, Google is listening to you and your iPhone apps know way too much about your life.
All of this cannot be dismissed as a conspiracy theory anymore:
*Police have used this data in real-live court cases.
*Four states are suing Google for data privacy violations.
*Countries are using this data to track their citizens.
*Social media companies are ratting on your activities to authorities.
*The CIA has admitted it has a program that collects bulk data from you.
*The FBI purchased location data from phone advertisers
It’s getting crazy out there. It’s now officially a crime to disagree with the current administration.
It’s easy to see how all this happened. In the early days, Google offered some great software tools that made our lives easier (i.e., Google Maps). Facebook allowed us to easily keep in touch with family and old friends. The iPhone seems to plug into nearly every aspect of our lives. Over time, though, their tech ecosystems morphed into something that resemble spider webs, platforms in which we’ve all gotten trapped and we wait to have our life blood sucked from us.
It’s more than a little creepy. And, given that people can be “cancelled” so easily today and our country is probably marching to our own version of a social credit system, we can’t afford to be blissfully ignorant anymore.
We’ve all read the book 1984 … we know how this all turns out. Why are we so willingly forking over our innermost-thoughts and information to Big Tech?
Let’s fact it … Unless we make a change, we are all like pigs headed to the slaughterhouse. We need to make a clean break from their technology and platforms. This includes their cellphones and their apps. (The cheap cell phones from China are the worst at stealing your data.)
When we first starting looking for alternatives, we saw very few. The iPhone and Android operating systems are on over 99% of the cell phones these days!
Fortunately, there is one alternative that is slowly gaining traction – GrapheneOS. Well-known IT security experts, like Edward Snowden, say its security is bulletproof. The developers have successfully carried out the true vision of the Android community (i.e., making a free and open-source operating system for phones), unlike the co-opted version Google peddles. Besides, this one works easily with existing cell carriers (e.g., T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon).
Here at Rippowam Labs, we’re offering you an out-of-the-box way to help you get a divorce from Big Tech. It’s called the Ben Franklin Phone and it’s available for sale right now.
We’ll flash a phone (specs below) with the latest version of the GrapheneOS operating system and send it to you anywhere in the continental US.
You might be recognizing these specs – these are from the Google Pixel 4a.
You might now be wondering to yourself the following … Why, in the process of trying to escape Google, would you suggest purchasing a phone made by Google?
We assure you that the phone you receive is completely cut off from Google. If there were any backdoors, Snowden would not have recommended it. (Please check out this link and this link and this link for more info.) It is flashed with the GrapheneOS (meaning that Google’s Android operating system is destroyed and the GrapheneOS is the only thing that remains). The only way Google will connect you to the phone is if you happen to install their apps on this cell phone. But we don’t suggest you do this.
The whole process of choosing non-Google apps is not trivial. It requires some work. Fortunately, we have a guide that will help make this process MUCH easier. We’ve done all the research and we know which apps are best to safeguard you and your data. It comes with every purchase.
